Welcome to the Villages Computer Club

The Villages Computer Club’s goal is to help our members learn together by attendance at Club Meetings and help others to help themselves. We offer Presentations and Problem Solving sessions at each meeting. We will periodically have workshops for discussion within special interest groups to further peer-to-peer idea exchange.

Latest SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective September 1, 2016 you will need to be a paid member to attend our meetings. Membership is $5.00 per calendar year and goes towards our scholarship, refurbishment activities, and other expenses. Visitors are welcome. See our Join The Club section for full details.

Our meetings are open to Village Residents and Guests who have valid Villages-issued guest passes. Visitors (having a Villages ID or Guest Pass) are welcome and are entitled to one free meeting per calendar year.

We meet every Friday at 1:00PM in the following Villages Recreation Centers:

Our meetings consist of a presentation of about 45 minutes, a break with refreshments and 50/50 and door prize drawings, followed by a problem-solving session (questions submitted in advance as well as from the floor).

Join the Club

The cost of membership in The Villages Computer club is $5.00 per calendar year. You will receive a Membership Sticker placed on the back of your Village ID Card. Your membership allows you to enjoy high quality presentations on many relevant computer subjects, ask technical question related to personal computer issues, participate in our weekly door prize drawing, socialize and have refreshments with some of the greatest people in The Villages (our other members) and look forward to an occasional special speaker.

We have a membership table at each meeting so you are encouraged to become a member.

After doing this, join the VCC Group . Make sure to mention if you are a member of the VCC and if you reside in The Villages. 

Finding a Home for your Old Computer

While the VCC is not in the business of refurbishing computers, we do encourage and facilitate the donation of computer equipment to a sub-group of VCC club members, the Villages Computer Refurbishment Group. The Refurbishment Group only accepts computers running Windows 7, 8 or 10.  They do not accept printers, flat screens, etc.  You may drop off the computers at any of the club’s Friday meetings where they will be collected and given to the refurbishing group. This equipment is then repaired and restored for use by needy residents of our area.  The VCC does not provide a receipt for tax deduction purposes for any donated equipment.
